NTL Laboratory provides state-of-the-art medical laboratory tests and related services in ten states within the Southern and Midwest regions of the United States through our Central Processing Center. NTL Laboratory Headquarters and central processing center is located in Chicago, Illinois.

NTL Laboratory is currently accepting applications for a Part-Time Weekend Courier Driver- $17-$20/hour. This evening position is headquartered in Skokie IL and starts at 5:00 p.m.

Weekend Courier Driver duties include: Data entry, Clocking In and Clocking out from our NTL Laboratory company kiosk, inventory control, safely transporting samples from customers to the lab on a fixed schedule, cleaning and maintaining coolers for sample transport, and other duties as assigned.

Ideal candidates will possess the following:

• Prior medical courier experience is a plus.

• A High School diploma or GED (required); an associate degree in Biology or related field (preferred).

• Proficiency with data entry and computer applications.

• Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory.

• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50lbs above waist level.

• Ability to regularly lift up to 30lbs above waist level.

• A valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

• Transport laboratory specimens, delivers lab supplies to clients according to the established schedules and routes.

• Documents client specimen pick-ups and account for all specimens received from each client. Reviews testing requests for completeness of information while at the client's office.

• Documents and reports problems and complaints from the clients to the NTL Client Representative.

• Responsible for routine maintenance of vehicles. Serves as a Weekend Courier for special deliveries for other Lab or Hospital sections as assigned.

The Weekend Courier Driver will be provided with an NTL van to use for the collection and deliveries of our various lab specimens.
